Hi Martina, please do not crosspost your messages We will find them anyhow. In general huts (specially around Triglav) are open from July to September/October, it depends on the hut (local alpine asociation) and weather. You can sleep and eat in winter period only on Kredarica where meteorologists take care for guests. Reservations are recommended, you may still find some huts very crowdy in high season and see people sleeping on the tables and on the floor. Cost for one night stay is around 5-10 euros for members of alpine associatons (reprocity with Club Alpin Francais) and doubled (10-20) for non-members. Price depends on the hut (location) and service you are asking. Lower price is for collective beds (etage beds) where in one room sleep more people. Higher price is for separate rooms with some beds. All food and drinks are charged extra (around 5 euro per meal). As I saw during last years you can pay all services with euros, however certain huts can have worse exchange rates. You should also have in mind (when planning), that there are no showers in the huts. drinking water may be found in the nature or bought in the hut (2,5 euro per 1,5 litre). Huts are supplied by different local alpine associations which decide when huts will be opened and closed. According to the weather conditions huts can be opened from as soon as June 10th (or even earlier), but while this is not 100% sure I would not count on that. Huts are 100% opened from end of June, regardless of weather. This information is generally published also on the site of PZS or (rare) local sites such as: [url=http://www.planinskodrustvo-ljmatica.si]PD Matica[/url] maybe a month or two before opening. However if huts are closed, the majority of them have so called winter rooms which are opened all the time. Usually there are some beds and blankets but you are on your own service There is first come, first served rule and a sleeping bag is welcome there. Do you have now some ideas about the snow conditions and the huts for the end of June?
