Matjaz told me that the route up from Pokljuka is damaged so I thought it would be good to have a thread for us non-slovenians to tell us if there are any other problems with the paths his summer. We are planning on blato-vodnikov-planika-triglav-planika-dolic-prehodavcih-jezereh-komni-savici Apart from Triglav summit, I am trying to stay on what my 1:25000 planinska karta pf Triglav rates as easy routes, though I know it says the direct path from planika to dolic is more difficult in places.

Yes, yesterday it was stated officialy - by PZS (Slovenian Alpine Association) that the path from Pokljuka is still closed. They have prepaired the sanification plan and will start the work at the end of this weekend. They plan to finish it in 8-10 days. Otherwise, your route Blato-Vodnikov dom-Planika-Triglav-Planika-Dolic-Prehodavci- Sedmera jezera-Komna-Savica is very very beautiful and in good weather conditions you will enjoy it very much. At Triglav Summit paths helmet is highly recommended :!: , as there are nearly always crowds there and lots of chances for fallen stones ... Keep in mind that in the Alps weather can change very quickly so - if it is not absolutely clear - ask from time to time at the huts if any storms are expected. I also recomend that due to crowds you avoid weekend time and go during the week if possible. When do you plan your vacation in Slovenia? Enjoy it ... 8)
